Error 3 – The name used in the account profile is in violation of our User Agreement.

We’ve discovered that your LinkedIn account is in violation of our User Agreement and Professional Community Policies. LinkedIn personal accounts may not be:  

• Created under any entity other than a natural person.

• Shared between multiple members of a group or organization.

• Used in addition to other LinkedIn accounts.  

LinkedIn accounts are to only be used by one person and must be created under your first and last name. This is extremely important as it maintains the integrity of personal profiles and other services that we offer. Because of this violation, we’ve suspended your account.  

Even though we can’t transfer any profile connections or profile data, we may be able to transfer the owned User Group and/or administered LinkedIn Page to your valid LinkedIn account (if you already have one). A valid LinkedIn account would be an account that has been created under your first and last name.  

To Transfer Group Ownership:  

• You must be a Group Manager for the group in question.

• If you’re not a Group Manager currently, we will not be able to transfer ownership, but we can close the group.  

To Become a LinkedIn Page admin:  

• You must have a valid LinkedIn account. If you don’t have a valid account on LinkedIn, you can go here to create one: https://www.linkedin.com/reg/join

• List your current position with the organization on your profile.

• Add and confirm your company email address on your profile.  

Once you have done either/both steps above, please reply to this email with your profile URL. We will then review your request and transfer the User Group and/or LinkedIn Page admin rights to your account if you meet the criteria above. However, this profile will remain permanently restricted.   We look forward to hearing from you to assist you further.
