About the Edit PDF tool

WizBrand Edit PDF is a free online PDF editor that works like a simple drawing app on top of your document. Click “Edit text” and then any line in the PDF to change its words — the old text is covered and your new text goes on top in a matching font and size. Add new text boxes anywhere, insert your logo or a photo, draw boxes, circles, lines and arrows, highlight important passages, sign or mark up with the freehand pen, or white out anything you do not want to show.

Every object can be moved, resized, recoloured, brought to the front or deleted, and Undo / Redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y) keeps every step reversible until you save. Text uses standard PDF fonts (sans, serif and mono, bold and italic); Hindi, Cyrillic and other scripts are embedded with Noto fonts automatically.

The editor runs entirely in your browser: your PDF is opened, edited and saved on your own device and is never uploaded. Note that “Edit text” and Whiteout cover the original content visually — to permanently remove sensitive text from the file, use Redact PDF.

Is it free?

Yes — Edit PDF is completely free and unlimited. There is no account, sign-up, watermark or credit card required.

Are my files uploaded to your server?

No. The editor runs entirely in your web browser, so your PDF never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.

Can I change the text that is already in my PDF?

Yes. Choose “Edit text”, then click a highlighted line. The original words are covered with white and an editable copy appears on top in a matching font and size; type your changes and save. Scanned PDFs are pictures and have no text to edit — run them through OCR PDF first, or add new text on top.

Does Whiteout delete the content?

Whiteout and “Edit text” cover the original content so it no longer shows when viewed or printed, but the original text is still inside the file. To remove confidential text permanently, use our Redact PDF tool.

Can I undo a change?

Yes. Use Undo / Redo (or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y) as often as you like before saving. After downloading, click “Back to editing” to continue from where you left off.

Can I type in Hindi?

Yes. Text in Hindi (Devanagari), Cyrillic, Greek and other scripts is saved with an embedded Noto font so it shows correctly in every PDF reader.
