Which languages are supported?

Over 130 languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. Choose "Detect language" and the source language is recognised automatically.

Which file types can I translate?

PDF, Word (.docx), plain text (.txt), Markdown (.md), subtitles (.srt) and CSV. Word files keep their layout, tables, fonts and styles; PDFs are turned into an editable Word document in the new language.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. Files are opened in your browser; only the text is sent to the translation service, in small pieces, and WizBrand does not store it. Links, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and code terms are never sent for translation, so they stay exactly as they were.

Is there a limit?

Text: up to 5,000 characters at a time. Documents: up to about 100,000 characters (roughly 40 pages). Very long documents take a minute or two.

How accurate is it?

It uses machine translation (Google Translate, with Microsoft Translator and MyMemory as backups). It is good for understanding and drafts; have important legal or official documents checked by a person.

Can I translate a scanned PDF or a photo saved as PDF?

Yes. Pages without a text layer are read with OCR (text recognition) right in your browser, then translated. OCR works for English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and major European languages — choose the scan’s language in “From” for the best result.
